Julie’s traveled and will be traveling far and wide to visit underprivileged children and senior citizens in six different states during Chinese New Year from the 18th of January to the 1st of February 2012. Where did they go? Kedah, Penang, Kuantan, Seremban, Melaka and Johor Bahru. Here are happy faces at Rapha Children’s Home, Kuantan.

CNY Special: Sharing the Love in OUG & Kepong

During the Chinese New Year season, Julie’s and Sin Chew Daily organize a giveaway activity and the first station is in Kepong.
On the 13th of January 2012, the Julie’s team set up a booth near the Taman Kepong Baru market and 800 Julie’s CNY goodie bags are distributed in an hour!Next, Julie’s went to OUG, where Julie’s fans were waiting since 4am! At 8am, the Julie’s team distributed 800 goodie bags in 45 minutes.

Love Letters Joins the Movement

It’s a new year! 2011 was an exciting year for everyone at Julie’s, with the launch of the Share the Love campaign nationwide. 2012 will hold even greater things as Julie’s continues on its mission to foster friendships and share the love around Malaysia.
So to kickstart the new year, Julie’s runs a special Chinese New Year ‘Share the Love with Love Letters’ promotion across retail outlets in Malaysia. Free Julie’s red packets are given with every tin of Julie’s Love Letters bearing the Share the Love badge.

17th NSQ Youth Camp

Share the Love goes to the 17th Nian Shao Qing Camp in Taman Botanika, Ayer Keroh, Melaka. This youth camp is jointly organized by Pertubuhan Belia Nian Shao Qing Melaka and the China Press from 16th-18th December to cultivate self-discipline, responsibility and friendship among its participants. Martin Ang of Julie’s and artist Bihzhu were sources of inspiration at the camp.

Share the Love Finale Concert

Five finalists are chosen to showcase their talents at the Share the Love Finale Concert on the 8th of October, held at Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus in Sunway. Fatin Fatinah Majidi from Sibu reigns as the winner, with her cover of Bihzhu’s song, ‘The Heart Way’.
Fatin said, “My participation in this contest not only boosted my confidence, it also made me realise that love is meant to be shared and it can be shared in various forms.” Local artistes Lab the Rat, Asmidar, Prema Yin and Bihzhu also take the stage, along with fellow finalists Koo Yen Woon, Valerie Tay Hoy Yean, The MEETING room and Euson Chew with his partner, Jethro Wong Siew Weng.

Share the Love Singing Contest

Julie’s rolls out a singing contest through the Julie’s Youtube channel. Finalists selected from the first round are to perform and compete at the Share the Love Finale Concert in October. The grand prize is RM5000 in cash prize and RM5000 donated to World Food Day in the name of the winner.
On October 3rd, Julie’s announces the five contestants chosen to compete at the Finale Concert. They are Koo Yen Woon, Valerie Tay Hoy Yean, Fatin Majidi, The MEETING room and Euson Chew with his partner, Jethro Wong Siew Weng.

Sharing the Love with Music

Julie’s kickstarts the movement with Youtube videos of different artistes performing specially composed songs for Share the Love. The videos receive lots of buzz in the social media arena, as Malaysians keep talking and spreading the message on Facebook and Twitter. Over 212,000 unique visits are achieved with over 1.95 million Facebook mentions!
The songs are compiled into a CD to distribute all across Malaysia as Julie’s goes on its Share the Love roadtrip!
Jasemaine Gan performs the theme song ‘Share the Love’ with children from Harvest Center. Harvest Center is a foundation for under-privileged children in Kuala Lumpur with a mission to eradicate poverty by equipping children with holistic education.

With that wish in mind, 800 of Julie’s employees along with five local artists and lots of lovingly made Julie’s biscuits, embark on a journey to extend friendship and thanks to fellow Malaysians.
